Office of Disciplinary Counsel The Office of Disciplinary Counsel ("ODC") is an Arm of the Supreme Court of Delaware, which assists the Court in regulating the practice of law. In this capacity, the ODC is charged with evaluating, investigating, and, if warranted, prosecuting lawyer misconduct.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) is part of a comprehensive lawyer regulation system established by the Montana Supreme Court. The system consists of ODC and the Commission on Practice (COP). COP and ODC are under the direct supervision of the Montana Supreme Court.
Paul J. Burgoyne began his work with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel on December 7, 1981, and has been the Deputy Chief Disciplinary Counsel since January 1993. He had served as a staff counsel and Counsel-in-Charge of the District I (Philadelphia) Office.
*Under Gov. Bar R. V(26)(A), the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) may take over the client files of an attorney who has died or disappeared, been disciplined, been deported, or is incapacitated.
The Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is an agency of the Missouri Supreme Court and is responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct by lawyers, prosecuting the cases where a lawyer’s misconduct poses a threat to the public or to the integrity of the legal profession, and maintaining current records of disciplinary information for lawyers licensed to practice law in Missouri.
